In my work as a textile artist I focus on social and political themes. My weaving is driven by the injustices surrounding housing, the most basic of needs. The work is expressed mainly by the woven form enmeshed with ceramic, symbolising how all our lives are interconnected, how each of us is linked to the other. With the various choice of yarns and wires so threads of nature and industry are drawn together emphasising how we are locked into a linked existence.
